Calendar & Deadlines
Program admission is competitive and contingent upon space availability. Early applicants are more likely to receive their first course selection and be guaranteed accommodations.
My daughter had a wonderful three weeks on campus. She immediately bonded with the participants and is keeping in contact with many of them! She made an instant "connection" with her professor. It has been a wonderful experience for her! YSP parent

| 13 | Begin accepting applications for admission to the Young Scholars Program. |

| 20 | Students who were admitted February 20 - April 18 must complete the Confirmation of Admissions process. |
| May | |
| 1 | Last day for International students to submit application. International students must complete the Confirmation of Admissions process by May 20 to receive the immigration documents necessary for obtaining either an F-1 or J-1 visa. |
| 20 | Students who were admitted April 19 - May 18 must complete the Confirmation of Admissions process. |
| June | |
| 20 | Students who were admitted May 19 - June 18 must complete the Confirmation of Admissions process. |
| Students admitted on or after June 19 must complete the Confirmation of Admissions process within 48 hours. | |

Last day to cancel registration for either the Residential or Commuter Course Package with 100% refund, minus the $65 non-refundable application fee. Request for cancellation must be received in writing by 4:30 p.m.Please note: After June 20, students who cancel or withdraw from the Young Scholars Program receive a refund of course tuition and the campus mandatory student services fee only (minus the $65 non-refundable application fee) based on the prorated schedule below. |

| 1 | Last day for domestic students to submit online application. Upon admission, student must complete the Confirmation of Admissions process within 48 hours. |
| 6 | Last day to cancel registration for either the Residential or Commuter Course Package with a 100% refund of course tuition and the campus mandatory student services fees only, minus the $65 non-refundable application fee. After this date, students may only withdraw. |
| Last Day to apply for admission to the Young Scholars Program via the paper application. | |
| 7 | Mandatory orientation and check-in for all students in the Young Scholars Program. For schedule, click here. |
| 8 | First day of classes. |
| Last day to switch courses. All requests to switch a course need to be received in writing by 4 p.m. on the first day of the program and must be approved by the Young Scholars Program. Students that attend a course other than their approved course will receive a zero for the registered course. | |
| 10 | Last day to withdraw from either the Residential or Commuter Course Package with a 50% refund of course tuition and the campus mandatory student services fees minus the $65 non-refundable application fee. After this date there is no refund. |
| 26 | Final day of classes. |
| Last day to withdraw from the Young Scholars Program. A statement indicating your withdrawal from the University will appear on your final transcript. | |
| Check out of residential halls by 6 p.m. for residential students. | |
