Provisional Admissions
All students are provisionally admitted and have blocks preventing registration. Full admission permitting registration for the upcoming semester requires fulfillment of the following:
- Math Placement Exam (MPE): click here
- Academic Advising: click here
Registration Dates
SIE registration dates are as follows:
- Fall Semester: Beginning noon, May 1
- Spring Semester: Beginning noon, November 27
You are responsible for paying your SIE tuition and fees by the SIE due dates. If not, you will be canceled for non-payment and risk losing your course seat if the course is full.
- For complete information on SIE payment deadlines, click here.
Failure to maintain continuous registration in the fall and spring semesters will result in cancellation of your admission into the SIE program. If you fail to register for a particular semester, you will need to re-apply and submit payment for the application fee.

Health Requirement
All newly admitted students must complete the University of Maryland’s Medical History and Immunization Record form. Click here to access the printable Health Center form and mail the completed health form directly to the Health Center (the address is provided on the form). Questions regarding the University’s immunization policy or the "immunization form" may be directed to the University Heath Center at 301-314-8182.

Textbook requirements are posted by the instructor and may be accessed through the portal. Textbooks usually appear about 3-4 weeks before the start of classes.
