How to Enroll

The Freshmen First Program has a two-step enrollment process.

  • Confirm admission to the University of Maryland for fall 2013 or spring 2014.
  • Enrollment form: Click here

Enrollment Deadlines

  • Enrollment forms accepted beginning March 21, 2013.
  • Program enrollment is contingent upon space availability and forms are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Early enrollments are more likely to receive their first course selections and be guaranteed accommodations.

Notification

Students are notified via e-mail and U.S. mail approximately 10 days after the receipt of their completed enrollment form.

I am sure you hear this from every parent, “My student is a special case.” Since I also attended college, I am very familiar with the fears of every freshman—Can I make friends and am I smart enough to be going to college? My son’s grade in Freshmen First showed him that he could compete with the best but he will have to work. I also sent him to Freshmen First to hopefully dispel his fears of not being able to make friends and fit in. Freshmen First was very successful in doing this. He wasted no time in taking the opportunity to socialize with other students and meet as many as possible. He returned with confidence, a long list of friends and a social network. Now he is in the regular fall session and adapting wonderfully. I consider sending him to Freshmen First one of the wisest parental choices I have made. FF parent
