How to Enroll
Enrollment for Freshmen Connection is a four-step process:
- Confirm Spring 2014 Admission to the University of Maryland
Click here to confirm Spring 2014 admission with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Complete steps number 3 and 4 to confirm your admission. - Take the Online Math Placement Examination (MPE)
Click here to find out more about the online MPE. All students must take the MPE regardless of whether they enroll in a math course in the fall semester. - Complete the online Freshmen Connection enrollment form

Click here for assistance choosing your fall courses. - Submit the nonrefundable Enrollment Fee and Program Deposit: $215
Enrollment fee: $65
You will be prompted to submit the nonrefundable enrollment fee and program deposit upon submitting your online enrollment form. If you do not pay online, mail a check or money order (made payable to University of Maryland) to:
Program deposit: $150 (credited towards fall tuition)

Be sure to include your full name and nine-digit University ID Number on the check.

A limited number of spaces are still available in Freshmen Connection for the Fall 2013 semester. We recommend that interested students contact us to speak with an advisor prior to enrolling.
Enrollment Deadlines
Enrollment forms accepted beginning March 1, 2013
Enrollment forms processed beginning March 25, 2013
Enrollment deadline for best consideration May 1, 2013
Enrollment deadline for students requiring an F or J Visa May 1, 2013
Program enrollment and course selection are contingent upon space availability. Registration forms are processed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Select your courses, indicating a first and second preference; every effort will be made to enroll you in your first choice. Program enrollment forms received after the program has filled will be placed on a waiting list.
Enrollment Confirmation
Students receive confirmation of enrollment in Freshmen Connection via e-mail approximately 10-15 days after their enrollment form has been reviewed, approved, and processed.
- Enrollment forms will not be processed until we have verified that you have confirmed your offer of spring admission and you have completed the MPE.
